SummerSlam (2010) was a pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and presented by 7-Eleven and Slim Jim, that took place on August 15, 2010, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for the second consecutive year. It was the twenty-third annual SummerSlam event and six matches took place.
SummerSlam received 350,000 pay-per-view buys, a decrease on the 369,000 buys garnered by WWE SummerSlam 2009.
- Dark - Evan Bourne defeated Zack Ryder
- Dolph Ziggler (c) (with Vickie Guerrero) vs. Kofi Kingston ended in a no contest for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Melina defeated Alicia Fox (c) for the WWE Divas Championship
- Big Show defeated The Straight Edge Society (CM Punk, Joseph Mercury and Luke Gallows) (with Serena) - Three-on-one handicap match
- Randy Orton defeated Sheamus (c) by disqualification - Last Chance match for the WWE Championship; had anyone interfered in the match, they would have been suspended indefinitely
- Kane (c) defeated Rey Mysterio for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
- Team WWE (John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, R-Truth and John Morrison) defeated The Nexus (Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Michael Tarver and Darren Young) - Seven-on-seven elimination tag team match
