Extreme Rules was a pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE and presented by WowWee's Paper Jamz, which took place on May 1, 2011 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. It was the third WWE Extreme Rules event. This was also the first WWE pay-per-view event to be held in Tampa since WWE Survivor Series 2000.
The event received 209,000 pay-per-view buys, up from last year's event of 182,000.
